Testimonials
Ron Welch, Cellist:
"I love the Fermata™ endpin holder. I have tried every cello endpin anchor on the market with no lasting success. The Fermata solves all endpin slipping problems. I like the fact that the wooden part enhances my cello's sound. I also like that the wooden part can be placed on the chair seat when not in use or when the chair has to be moved. This is the perfect gift for my students and fellow cellists.
Rachel Kauffman, Cellist:
The Fermata™ is the answer for the cellist who prefers to have their endpin stuck in the wood floor, but encounters floor owners who don't want holes in their floors. Since the endpin rests on a piece of wood, I have found that this holder does not distort the sound like the metal or rubber holders can. As an experienced, professional cellist, this allows for a welcome compromise without the worry of sacrificing tone or stability
Karl Olson, Cellist:
I like the Fermata™ a lot. I've used it in churches with very hard floors. It makes me feel very, very secure, and it's kept me from poking a few unnecessary holes. Thanks for a great product!
Cindy Ward, Cellist:
"The Fermata™ works so well and there is absolutely no slipping. The Fermata™ is very easy to adjust and I really like it."
Marion Rotz, Cellist:
"I love my Fermata™ because it is so flexible to use. It is very portable, easy to transport, and easy to use. Other rock stops didn't work for me and I don't leave home without my Fermata™!"
Innovative
Unlike other common endpin stops, the
FERMATA™
holds the cello endpin securely and prevents the cello from sliding on the floor. The
FERMATA™
also guarantees years of trouble free use, outlasting other endpin stops and anchors.
Durable
The
FERMATA's™
9" long endpin holder is hand-crafted from solid oak and is securely anchored to the front legs of the cellist's chair by a strong diamond-braided rope. Every
FERMATA™
is stained and coated with a durable, scratch resistant acrylic finish. Premium materials and solid design will provide you with many years of satisfied use.
Easy to Use
To use the
FERMATA™
the cellist places the tip of the endpin in one of the nine pockets found in the
FERMATA's™
endpin holder. These equally spaced pockets are 1" from one another and offer the cellist a wide range of choices. Unlike most endpin anchors, the
FERMATA's™
nine pockets allow you to sit comfortably and never adjust the length of the rope regardless of seating conditions. The
FERMATA™
also offers a convenient two-position feature, which doubles the available choices in endpin placement and enables it to accommodate both children and adults. This makes the
FERMATA™
the most versatile endpin anchor on the market.
Secure
Inherent to the
FERMATA's ™
design is its stability. Because the
FERMATA™
is attached to the chair it cannot slide away from the cellist. Never again will the cellist need to moisten the bottom of the endpin stop to make it stick. Also, the pockets are 1/4" deep, ensuring that the endpin cannot come free from the
FERMATA's ™
endpin holder. The
FERMATA's™
fresh design takes a different approach from other endpin anchors by attaching to both front legs of the chair. This feature creates a natural tendency for the cello to remain centered in front of the cellist.
Quality
Most endpin anchors sold today are made of plastic, which is an insulator and deadens the sound. The
FERMATA™
is made of hardwood, which is an excellent resonator. Consider the number of high quality instruments that are made of wood, NOT PLASTIC. The
FERMATA™
is made of solid oak and will not alter the sound quality of your instrument
Protects
The
FERMATA™
will also protect your floor from damage. Whether floors are made of carpet, wood, or tile, a sharp endpin will damage it. The damage caused to the floor simply is not worth being without a
FERMATA™
.
